Abstract:
SECOVIA promoted jointly developed, advanced virtual accessibility solutions that address the geographic and socio-economic specificities of South East Europe by harvesting the benefits of cloud computing to support access to shared public IT services, resources and infrastructures and by setting the ground for joint strategies, common policies and transnational collaboration in tackling the digital divide among territorial administrations.

DKMS Role: participant

DKMS contribution:
Scientific supervision of the studies conduction and the analysis of the collected data regarding the feasibility and the possible benefits of the different interested parties from the joint establishment of shared virtual resources and infrastructures in South East Europe.
Supervision of the data collection and analysis regarding policies with strategic benefits from virtual Internet infrastructures and shared computational resources in public administration and the definition of basic performance criteria for a joint Infrastructure as a Service provider in South East Europe.
Analysis of the operation and organization requirements and the functional characteristics of a provider of shared virtual Internet resources and infrastructures and the technical specifications of the latter.
